Georgia Canoeing Association
Atlanta, GA
A member-operated nonprofit canoe and kayak club paddling since 1966, with over 500 family and corporate memberships covering more than 1,500 individuals. The GCA promotes public river access, boating safety, and canoeing and kayaking opportunities across Georgia.
Canoe Cruisers Association
Washington, DC
Founded in 1956, the Canoe Cruisers Association of Greater Washington is a canoe and kayak club with over a thousand members across Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. It exists to unite people interested in paddling and whitewater kayaking in the Potomac River basin and adjacent watersheds.
Carolina Canoe Club
NC
A statewide North Carolina paddling club serving whitewater, flatwater and coastal paddlers, with more than 700 members in North Carolina and neighboring states. It runs trips, instruction and an annual week-long gathering, and is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Colorado Whitewater
Denver, CO
Founded in 1954 and now over 500 active members strong, Colorado Whitewater is one of the oldest and largest whitewater clubs in the country. The nonprofit introduces new paddlers to whitewater, teaches paddling technique, promotes river safety, and supports racing and freestyle competition across the Rocky Mountain region.
Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club
Corvallis, OR
A western Oregon club of over 300 members based in the Willamette Valley, paddling whitewater and flatwater across the region. WKCC runs trips, roll sessions and new-boater instruction, and is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Philadelphia Canoe Club
Philadelphia, PA
Chartered in 1905, the Philadelphia Canoe Club is one of the oldest paddling organizations in the United States. It is headquartered in a former mill at the confluence of the Wissahickon Creek and the Schuylkill River in Manayunk, and counts more than 200 canoeists, kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders among its members.
Adobe Whitewater Club of New Mexico
Albuquerque, NM
New Mexico's whitewater paddling club, organizing kayak and raft trips on the Rio Grande and other regional rivers along with instruction, safety clinics and river stewardship. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Arkansas Canoe Club
AR
A statewide Arkansas canoe and kayak club organized into regional chapters, paddling the Buffalo National River, the Ouachitas and other Arkansas waters. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Bay Area Sea Kayakers
San Francisco, CA
BASK is a 501(c)(7) sports club of several hundred sea kayakers across the San Francisco Bay Area, paddling everything from flat water to kayak surfing, rock gardens and expeditions. It runs an annual skills clinic plus free rescue and safety clinics through the year, and is an ACA Paddle America Club.
Birmingham Canoe Club
Birmingham, AL
An Alabama canoe and kayak club based in Birmingham, paddling the Locust Fork, the Cahaba and other rivers across the Southeast, with trips and instruction for members. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Bluegrass Wildwater Association
Lexington, KY
A Lexington-based Kentucky whitewater club running trips and instruction since 1976. The BWA encourages the enjoyment, preservation and exploration of American whitewater waterways, and works to protect their wilderness character through conservation of water, wildlife, forests and parks.
Houston Canoe Club
Houston, TX
A Houston-area canoe and kayak club paddling the bayous, coastal bays and rivers of southeast Texas, with regular member trips, training and conservation work. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Hui Nalu Canoe Club
Honolulu, HI
One of Hawaii's historic outrigger canoe clubs, informally started at Waikiki around 1905 and chartered in 1911. Its founders included Olympic swimmer and surfing pioneer Duke Kahanamoku, and its long rivalry with the Outrigger Canoe Club helped sustain the islands' enthusiasm for canoe racing and surfing.

Idaho's statewide whitewater club, organizing river trips, swiftwater safety training and instruction on the Payette, Salmon and other Idaho rivers. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.

A Jackson, Wyoming club for whitewater kayakers paddling the Snake River and the surrounding Greater Yellowstone rivers, organizing member trips, safety clinics and river advocacy. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Keelhaulers Canoe Club

Established in Northeast Ohio in 1967, the Keel-Haulers Canoe Club is a community of families united by a shared interest in paddling and the outdoors. It has grown into a regional organization with members throughout Ohio and surrounding states, and is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Merrimack Valley Paddlers

A New Hampshire paddling club serving the Merrimack Valley, running whitewater and flatwater trips, winter pool sessions and instruction across northern New England. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Missouri Whitewater Association
MO
Missouri's whitewater paddling club, best known for running the long-standing Missouri Whitewater Championships on the St. Francis River, alongside member trips and instruction. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Rapids Riders

An Upper Midwest whitewater club serving paddlers across Minnesota and Wisconsin, with river trips, pool roll sessions and instruction on the region's rivers. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Rhode Island Canoe & Kayak Association
RI
RICKA is Rhode Island's statewide paddling association, covering flatwater, sea kayaking and whitewater with separate trip programs for each discipline. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Sebago Canoe Club
Brooklyn, NY
Founded in 1933 by New York City canoe racers who were members of the American Canoe Association, and originally based at Lake Sebago in Harriman State Park. Members built the current Brooklyn clubhouse on Paerdegat Basin in 1961; the club paddles kayaks and canoes and also sails and rows.
Team River Runner
Rockville, MD
A national nonprofit that gives active-duty service members and veterans health, healing and community through adaptive paddlesports, running kayak programs through local chapters across the country. It is an American Whitewater affiliate.
Tennessee Valley Canoe Club
Chattanooga, TN
Founded in 1967, TVCC is a 501(c)(7) club based in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area for people interested in canoeing, kayaking and related activities. It is known across the Southeast for three long-running programs: its Paddle School, the Ocoee Race, and its river safety program.
Vermont Paddlers Club
