Had a great experience, even in early July! We beat the heat, saw wildlife, and enjoyed the water and scenery while kayaking. My suggestion: Start early- 8:00am is what we did. By the time our two hour rental was up, we were out of the lake and cooling off in the car eating cold watermelon from our cooler and enjoying the air conditioning on the beautiful ride back home.

What a beautiful location and experience! The people helping us were friendly and knowledgeable, and even gave us a suggestion for a beautiful hike that we did after kayaking. We went down the stream through the canyon, and that was absolutely stunning, peaceful, and quiet. Lots of turtles and birds to enjoy!

Staff is upbeat, friendly and very helpful. I reserved 2 paddleboards online for the next day, and their follow up emails after checkout were very detailed and made getting there/checking in a super smooth process! We were in the water no more than 10 minutes after we parked. Also love that they’re pet-friendly. I brought my pup and his own life jacket and was told that they have extras if he ever needs them. Can’t wait to go back :)
