  The outfitter is great! The location? Nsm. Being at the absolute end of everything, you must battle a lot of big boat traffic. If you aren’t accustomed to paddling around giant river cruise ships this isn’t the place for you. However if you do like the excitement of paddling where all the action is at, and are energized by the vibe and buzz of the riverwalk crowds, restaurants, and pumping music, this will be the right trip for you. I paddled 2.5 miles out to find peace, quiet, and less water traffic. I found turtles, a green heron, and a black crested night heron, which I’ve never seen before. I wished I had more time to explore that part of the river (and a 5 mile paddle is a bit tiring after a long day at a conference). Next time I visit the city, I will likely choose a different vendor who is further upriver, to avoid all of the hustle and bustle.

  This was the second tour we took in Chicago, and it was definitely superior to the free walking tour. Caroline was extremely knowledgeable and shared interesting stories filled with history and bits of local flavor. Kate, who acted as the safety kayak, helped keep everything in order, and did a great job. I would highly recommend this tour! Some tidbits for general info: the bathrooms on site are clean and actual restrooms; the safety information and pre-boarding is well done and prepares you; and the check in process was quick and efficient. The actual kayaking isn’t strenuous, and I felt comfortable the entire time, even with the other, bigger boat traffic. The guides do a great job with communication to ensure safety.

  Amazing experience, we took the 2 hour sunset tour with Drew, he was amazing, gave us an amazing tour with lots of cool info! Surely recommend

  A unique, fun way to experience Chicago from a different perspective and in such a (literally) hands-on way. Totally worth it when the weather plays nice.
