  The people at the place have amazing customer service skills. Their communication and understanding of uncontrollable situations (weather and river levels) and how they affected important plans have made me decide that i will be coming back with family. The river is so relaxing and fun. Last year we floated around with a lot of people (on the weekend) and it was entertaining. This year so far we felt like we had the river to ourselves (floating on a weekday) and it was great.

  Hate Crimed, Overcharged, Disgusting: Never Go Here - READ BELOW Before we even arrived, my mom realized her husband couldn’t make it, so she wanted to exchange their 4-person raft for a 1-person tube. They refused to refund the price difference despite having plenty of available tubes. When we arrived, it was complete chaos. Parking was nearly impossible. The property was filthy—trash, alcohol bottles, dog poop everywhere, garbage floating in the river, dead fish, and the shower literally had a huge piece of human feces in it. Dogs ran loose barking and using the bathroom. Our campsite was another disaster. The ground was rock hard with almost no grass, and we couldn’t get tent stakes in. Staff admitted this happens often and said they’d move us, but instead hammered special stakes into the wrong spots before our tent was set up. When I asked if anyone could help, an employee laughed and said, “You just put the poles up, it’s not hard.” We spent an hour trying before giving up, losing our campsite money and paying for a hotel 20 minutes away. The worst part happened before our float. My wife, mom, and I were grouped with about 20 loud, intoxicated people. Fine, it’s a float trip. But the shuttle arrived late and was overbooked, leaving no room for my mom. While helping her gather her things, the driver shut the door and drove away. We had to bang on the bus and yell for him to stop. We got on, but there still weren’t enough seats. A man blocked the aisle while another group barely made room for my wife. I couldn’t fit. Then the chanting started. One person, then several, then nearly the whole group began yelling, “We’re Dominican! Get them off! We’re Dominican! Get them off!” We’re white, apparently that mattered. Several men stood up, making it clear we’d be removed one way or another. We asked the driver to stop and let us off. Before I could grab our cooler, he drove away again. The cooler contained all our food, drinks, water, and ice. Staff radioed the driver and told me to meet him at a nearby store. No bus. When I returned, the owner falsely claimed they couldn’t communicate with the drivers—even though I had just heard them on the radio. Eventually they told us we’d have to wait over an hour and hope the people on the bus didn’t steal our cooler. Thankfully it was returned. I told management we had paid to float but were forced off the shuttle through no fault of our own. We no longer felt safe spending hours on the river with 15+ racist men and teenagers. Their response? “You can get on the next bus if there’s room.” After I insisted something be done, they admitted the same group had also been harassing the elderly shuttle driver. Only then did they say there would be consequences—not because we were targeted, but because their employee was. In the end, we lost our campsite, paid for two nights in a hotel, missed the float entirely, wasted our entire day, and received only a 25% refund. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like everything was somehow our fault. We just wanted one fun weekend. Instead we were overcharged, treated terribly, and subjected to racist harassment. Never again.

  This is a wonderful spot to camp. The bathrooms are very well kept. 18 bucks for a camp spot is a great deal. It is not quiet though, there are a lot of people blasting their bluetooth speakers till 2 am, so bring your ear plugs if you want to sleep.

  This place charged us 82 dollars to bus our own tandem kayak up river and take out at their land. We also had to wait an hour for a bus. The people working there are friendly but charging that much for one boat is diabolical. Im sure its worth it if you dont have your own equipment but damn thats highway robbery otherwise.
