  Just completed a fantastic 3 day self guided canoe trip from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach. This was my third time doing this trip but had a whole group of first timers. Desert Adventures did not disappoint. Devin and the crew were great at the start and finish. Holmes was very helpful at pickup. Everything was on time from start to finish and instructions were clear and detailed. We loaded every canoe with gear for the 3 days and everything worked perfectly. The maps provided were very helpful along the river. Thanks for a great experience. Will definitely use them again in the future.

  We took 3 of our older kids (12-15yrs) on the 12 mile, all-day kayak tour. The hot springs and caves were such a cool experience. All of the staff were positive, prepared, knowledgeable, and made the trip a very smooth process. We could tell they definitely have a passion and respect for nature and the area. It was so beautiful and memorable, and our guide took a TON of pictures of us and sent them to us after the trip. 10/10 recommended. The only caution I'd share is that I assumed there would be a "flow" being that we were going down a river, but it is more like a lake due to the dams. So be prepared to do more paddling than floating. The kids fully enjoyed it, but their arms got quite tired the second half of the trip. So plan accordingly.

  Desert Adventures provides all the necessities so you can enjoy an amazing kayaking adventure! My friends and I have done the overnight self guided black canyon trip a couple times and it is truly a fun and mesmerizing trip. Desert Adventures handles all the permit purchasing for the launch site at the hoover dam and transport for pick up and drop off. They provide detailed instructions for the whole process and have all the gear you might need for rent. The first year we went, one of the dry bags we rented had a hole so the contents were soaked by the time we reached our camp site so the following trip we opted to buy our own dry bags which actually saved some time at the pick up. We just dropped off our bags rather than having to take time to pack at the lot. Everything is done timely so be sure to arrive early the morning of pick up. They also do guided tours for those more comfortable with a guide and can also haul your personal kayaks as well. For the self guided tour, they drop you off and you are able to go at your own pace and meet at Willow Beach at the date specified for pick up. A map is provided for the route and has some landmarks and sight seeing spots along the way. On your adventure, you can also stop and hike in to enjoy the hot springs in the canyon. Closer to the end destination of Willow Beach, there will be more kayakers and the popular emerald cave. At peak sun and photo time, there is a line but it moves quickly. Everyone takes turns taking photos and helps other groups next in line out. It is truly a unique experience and all made easier with this company. Recommend 1000%!!

  Great company and beautiful views! One warning: look at the wind advisory. Took us a beyond difficult extra 3 hours to get back due to winds. Recommend kayaks and not paddle boards. 10/10 for the views and hot springs along the way! The company waived our late fee and we’re understanding to our specific situation which we really appreciate!!! The guides are funny and informative too!
