  What a fun excursion for us. We had a great time on our kayak trip! The equipment was clean, well-maintained, and reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and made sure all the rules and instructions were clear before we headed out. We were initially disappointed by the overcast weather, but it ended up being perfect for kayaking since we didn’t get overheated. We rented a clear-bottom kayak, which wasn’t quite as exciting as we expected because the water is pretty brown, but we learned it has LED lights for night paddles, so now we definitely want to come back and try that. There was so much to see from the water. We paddled past the lighthouse, saw the historic Amistad, and even went underneath the drawbridge, where we could hear and see the traffic passing overhead. It gave us a completely different perspective of the area. The river was low enough that we paddled under the Holmes Street bridge to a beautiful private cove. Next time, I’m getting my own kayak instead of sharing one with my husband! He kept shifting around, which made me feel off balance. (To be fair, I’ve flipped a kayak twice before and am a little nervous on open water.) Even so, I felt safe and had a wonderful experience. We’d absolutely do it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun way to explore the area from the water.

  Great shop in Mystic with amazing staff! We rented paddle boards and went up and down the Mystic River. What an awesome way to see the town, boats and water. Most people just grab some ice cream and sit on the benches by the bridge. Why not get some adventure in your life people and paddle under the bridge! Great memories! Thanks Adventure Mystic for giving us the opportunity to do this!

  Jeff and Melissa curated a fun and active biking tour of Mystic with favorite sights/activities of my husband’s, all to help me surprise him for his big birthday. Jeff was a fun and friendly tour guide for our group of 4. The equipment was up to date and Jeff was concerned for the group’s safety at all times. This was our first time to Mystic. I highly recommend this activity for small groups.

  We had a great experience at this local adventure sports store in Mystic. Jeff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to help us find a great paddle board. It’s so nice to find a local shop that cares this much about his customers. I'll definitely be back to do more business with them! They also host fun events. Follow on facebook. Highly recommend.
