  If you are looking for a company to guide a kayak trip for you near Topsail/Surf City- Jimmy and the crew at NC Surf Adventures is the team for the job! We took a 2 hour kayak trip along the intercoastal waterway near North Topsail beach. It was a blast! Part of what made it so great- They worked with our schedule and logistics to make is convenient. Our guides Ryan and Noah "a lot about North Carolina and Environmental Science" :) were outstanding. We learned a lot about the local history and the ecology of the area and made pinch pots on our island stop. We are all fairly fit so it was easy...but I think it would be manageable for most and they had double kayaks with helped too. THANK YOU for helping make our trip so much fun!

  NC Surf Adventures were amazing! Scooter was superb and met us at our place. I recommend the 3 day lesson package so you can get the hang of it and they let us use the boards the remainder of the day! It was so easy to book and the fact that they came and met us and we surfed on the south side of the island was just amazing! no need to deal w parking or driving while wet etc. They are awesome! My teen girls loved it! Bravo and thank you Scooter for your incredible instruction!

  I made a reservation for my 9 yo grandson for a 1.5 hr surfing lesson on 5/26/26. Making the reservation online was easy and NC Surf Adventures communicated with me timely on instructions, etc. Jimmy was my grandson’s instructor and he came to the designated parking lot I requested. Jimmy was super nice and was so patient with my grandson as he had no surfing knowledge whatsoever. Jimmy took the time to teach him all about the surfboard, surfing skills, and the ocean. I know my grandson will remember this experience for years to come. I highly recommend them if you want to get a taste of surfing!

  Our group had the best time taking surf lessons! We all thought it was the highlight of our trip! We set everything up through Jimmy who was super communicative. He was very knowledgeable and gave us ideal times to surf, but, our group had a specific time/day we could fit lessons in and he made it happen! He then got us in touch with Brett who was our actual instructor. Brett text the day before and made sure we knew exactly where to meet and communicated what time he would be there. Brett put us through a quick lesson and got us in the water ASAP (not before making sure we all felt comfortable and understood the lesson!) He was in the water the whole time helping us through the waves, turning around, pushing us onto the waves, giving us tips and cheering us on all while treading water the whole time! Between the communication, ease of booking and knowledge of the instructor, i wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.
